In the age of Facetune and other filters, what does it mean to contort the face? Or, what is left of meaning in altered flesh when digitally it is effortless? In my series Blowjobs, I center that question and rotate around it. Creating a manual filter (a tremendous gust of air), I explore the often-surprising effects that emerge from this action, which is about setting up the conditions for a surprise encounter of my sitters with their own flesh.
